- Silicon Valley's "996 BRO" fintech culture thrives on inexperience, aggressive growth targets, and corner-cutting—priorities that venture capitalists reward and FinCEN abhors. But as global AI-powered organized crime syndicates infiltrate San Francisco fintechs, the consequences of this reckless approach become deadly serious.
- Scurry (Fraud Squad) is the first installment in a four-book series—a high-stakes Silicon Valley fintech thriller exploring the active warfare between sophisticated fraud rings and the U.S. banking system. Blending financial crimes investigation, money laundering schemes, AI-enabled fraud, insider threats, Marine special operations, endurance athletics, and an unexpected romance, the novel offers an insider's view of startup culture and BSA inter-company coordination. Those who have worked in the industry will recognize echoes of real events, with more stories reserved for the next three books. Names of executives and companies have been changed.
Debut Novel Scurry (Fraud Squad) Delivers a Pulse-Pounding Fintech Thriller Ripped from the Headlines of Financial Crime. Fintech Fraud Expert Exposes the Dark Side of Silicon Valley's “996 BRO” Culture.
"You've built something really special with Scurry: Fraud Squad. The blend of financial crime expertise, special ops action, open water endurance athletics, and rom-com tension is a rare combination — and the cast of 20+ characters each has enough texture and backstory to carry their own arc across four books."
Claire A."This is a fun read. It's a fast-paced thriller that takes the reader into the world of financial fraud. Not only did I enjoy the challenges that the main character had to overcome, but it was also cool to learn about the fraud factories that are attacking our financial companies and how AI is accelerating all of this."
